The Payables Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring our payment process runs smoothly and efficiently from start to finish. This position directs and oversees the daily management of the accounts payable staff and processes associated with the payment of invoices; ensures the accuracy of the entire process as it relates to vendor payment, receiving, invoices and payment of invoices; and communicates with our properties to troubleshoot issues as needed. This position also works closely with our Director of Vendor Partnerships to maximize our partnerships and support successful relationships.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages the accounts payable processes including internal department and vendor relations
  • Manages all accounts payable functions and ensures accuracy and timeliness
  • Develops, implements, maintains and improves systems, procedures and policies within the accounts payable & accounting department, to ensure adherence to company guidelines
  • Collaborates with our Director of Vendor Partnerships to maximize our partnerships and support successful vendor relationships Selects weekly payables
  • Works in tandem with our operations team to ensure payable needs are met
  • Selects, coaches and oversees the accounts payable team, training and evaluating performance and development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years or more of supervisory experience
  • Experience with Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience in property management preferred, but not required
  • Experience in OneSite Accounting, Nexus, OpsTechnology or Yardi is preferred, but not required

  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate
