We are planning a huge tailgate party on
October when Auburn
will be here to play Vanderbilt. The
tailgate tickets will be $20 for members and $25 for non-members and $15 for
kids 4-12. The game tickets will be $40
each. We are purchasing a block of tickets
so that we will all be in the same section.
If you made reservations Monday night please go ahead and send your
payments in either to P O Box 128084, Nashville 37212 or pay via Pay Pal on our
club website. If kickoff for this game
is at 11:30am, we will have a full breakfast buffet and if it is an early
afternoon kickoff we will have lunch foods instead. We have already contacted the university to
coordinate having the band, Aubie and the cheerleaders at our tent as well as
having Tiger Walk in the same area as our tailgate tent. I’m still working on the rest of the details
for this event but I will keep everyone updated throughout the summer. We also need sponsors for this event. Several of you have expressed an interest in
becoming a sponsor and I will be sending a sponsorship package to you
shortly. Please let me know if your
business is interested in a sponsorship.
I have invited all Auburn clubs from Alabama and surrounding states to join us so
this could be a great opportunity to advertise your business to a large crowd.

War Eagle everyone!
We had a great meeting last Monday night with Chette Williams. He was AUsome!! I think we all could have listened to him
share his stories all night! I hope
everyone had as much fun as I did. I
want to thank all of you who joined us for the meeting. A special word of thanks is due Jason
Harbison for driving all the way up here to set up the Tiger Rags mini
store. Tiger Rags donated 20% of all the
proceeds of their sales Monday night to our club. From now until June 30, Tiger Rags is
offering a 20% discount on all purchases to our club. Just use the discount code nashville08 when
prompted in the checkout process to receive the discount.

We confirmed this week that Mark Murphy, editor of
Inside the Auburn Tigers magazine will be visiting our club again this year to
give us the pre-season update on our football team and all Auburn
athletics. Mark your calendar for August
25. We are working on the location so I
will pass that information along to you as soon as it is available.

I have one more date for you to hold open. Monday, October 13 will be the Second Annual
ACC vs. SEC Charity golf tournament at Hermitage golf course. Almost all of the Nashville area ACC and SEC alumni clubs are
participating in this golf tournament again this year. The charity being supported this year is
CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates for children. This is a very special organization that
trains volunteers that will be appointed by a judge to represent an abused or
neglected child in court here in Nashville. I will be looking for 8 golfers to represent Auburn in this
tournament. If you cannot play golf then
I would ask you to consider supporting this event by donating an item for the
silent auction or becoming a sponsor.

The next big date to put on your calendar is October 4. We will be playing Vanderbilt that Saturday
and we are already working very hard to have an AUsome tailgate party. Our tailgate spot will be just outside the
north end zone of the stadium which also happens to be where the team buses
will be dropping off the players for Tiger Walk. We will have the band come by the tent as
well as the cheerleaders and Aubie and anyone else we can grab! Other Auburn
alumni clubs from surrounding states will also be joining us at our tailgate
party. If you are interested in becoming
a sponsor for this event, please contact me at
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
. We will have a couple different options where
you can get your game ticket and tailgate ticket through the club or just a
game ticket or just a tailgate ticket. I
will have more details regarding the pricing in the coming weeks.
